This dataset follows established standards and conventions for logical consistency. All data elements are structured and formatted according to predefined rules, with validation processes in place to confirm consistency and accuracy.
This dataset has been reviewed to ensure all relevant bridge features are included.
The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) first implemented a Linear Referencing System (LRS) for managing road data in the 1970s, which was a mainframe-based system called the Milepoint and Coded Segment System (MACS System). In 2012, the LRS was migrated off the mainframe to Network Manager (NetMan). And finally in 2018, the LRS migrated to ArcGIS Roads and Highways. Editing stopped in NetMan in early 2017 for the migration to Roads and Highways, which is why the earliest "From Dates" on the data layers is 02/07/2017.
