The Idaho Transportation Department's (ITD) Roads and Highways Road Network Linear Referencing System (LRS) HPMS thickness flexible event polyline feature class represents the combined compacted thickness of all flexible pavement layers constructed with asphaltic or bituminous materials. For flexible pavement structures, this includes all bound layers between the pavement surface and the top of the base course.
The dataset supports pavement performance analysis, rehabilitation planning, and structural modeling in HPMS and related asset-management systems. Data are reviewed and updated annually as part of ITD’s Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) submittal to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
