The pavement layers located in ITD's Transportation Asset Management System (TAMS) are generated from annually updated pavement condition data collected by the ITD pavement van.<div><br /><div>The State Highway System and National Highway System are segmented into tenth-mile sections, each evaluated for rutting, cracking, and faulting, and are assigned a condition rating of Good, Fair, or Poor. To support responsive public-facing dashboards, these tenth-mile segments are further dissolved into summary layers based on shared characteristics and relevant geographic boundaries, creating more streamlined and interpretable representations of pavement condition.<\/div><\/div>",
