Description: The Idaho Transportation Department's (ITD) Roads and Highways Road Network Linear Referencing System (LRS) HPMS turn lanes event polyline feature class describes whether exclusive turn lanes are provided along a segment and the manner in which they are configured. These data help determine lane continuity, intersection control, and operational characteristics that influence capacity and performance. Turn lane data are collected through field inventories, design records, and roadway management databases and are reviewed annually as part of ITD’s Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) submittal to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
