The pavement layers located in ITD's Transportation Asset Management System (TAMS) are generated from annually updated pavement condition data collected by the ITD pavement van. The State Highway System and National Highway System are segmented into tenth-mile sections, each evaluated for rutting, cracking, and faulting, and are assigned a condition rating of Good, Fair, or Poor.
